James Lamb

James is an engineer at Saturn Cloud, where he worked on a managed data science platform that includes a managed Dask services. James is a maintainer on LightGBM, a popular machine learning project from Microsoft. James is a frequent open source contributor and has made non-trivial contributions to projects like prefect and XGBoost. Before working at Saturn Cloud, James worked as an Industrial IoT Data Scientist at AWS and Chicago-based Uptake. He holds masters degrees in Data Science (UC-Berkeley) and Applied Economics (Marquette University). James lives in the suburbs of Chicago, IL.
